M H Zakaria
Mr. Mohamed H. Zakaria took over as CEO & General Manager of Saudi Steel Profile Co in 2007. He succeeded ex-partners who held management since Saudi Steel’s inception in 1994.
Prior to his assumption of the post of CEO & General Manager of Saudi Steel, Mr. Zakaria was the Senior Advisor of Investments at ASB Group (Ahmed Salem Bugshan Group).
His positions included:
– Senior Vice President – Ahmed Salem Bugshan Group
– CEO & General Manager – Saudi Steel Profile Co
– Chairman – United Co for Industrial Metals (Yemen)
– Director – Structured Financing – Sipco (Pepsi Cola Bugshan)
– Board Member – Social Investment Managers & Advisors LLC
Mr. Zakaria brings to his new assignment 42 years of financial and industrial experience. He has been in the region for 42 years in various senior management positions. His business experience covers trading, structured financing, industries, corporate finance, real estate and global asset (bonds & equities) management. He has also worked as area manager of Phoenix Engineering and general manager of Red Sea Plant.
Mr. Zakaria has worked extensively on a variety of projects, both exclusively at GUI and ASB Group, and also in partnership with multilateral organizations and Government bodies. He has prepared innumerable reports, feasibility reports, surveys and recommendations covering a variety of subjects including corporate governance; competitiveness capacity building. He has written countless articles in Arab News, Saudi Arabia’s leading English language daily, The News and Time Magazine in letters to the Editors columns.
