Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of business plans and budgets.
  • Manage the monthly closing process, including reconciliations and analysis of related accounts.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual financial statements in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Assist the CFO with Board and committee meeting logistics, including the preparation and distribution of pre-read materials and meeting agendas.
  • Liaise with external auditors for the annual audit, ensuring a smooth audit finalization with chartered accountancy firms.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Ensure that financial practices comply with all statutory legislation and regulations.
  • Monitor cash flow and ensure appropriate management of working capital.
  • Process payroll and related withholding taxes in a timely manner.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Oversee tax-related matters, including withholding deductions and timely payments.
  • Coordinate with tax consultancy firms regarding income tax returns, audits, and SRB matters.
  • Analyze financial data and create graphical presentations to support key management decision-making.
  • Handle all banking matters, including cheque deposits, pay order issuance, and bank account openings.
  • Perform other ad-hoc assignments as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Part-qualified ACCA/CA/CPA/ICMA.
  • Minimum of four years of experience, preferably in non-banking financial institutions.
  • Proficient in computer applications, especially MS Excel.
  • Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
